Urban Axis – Abstract Cityscape Paintings
Urban Axis is a series of contemporary abstract cityscape paintings exploring urban perspectives as spaces of tension between structure and individual impulse.
Emerging from architectural axes, vanishing points, and spatial density, the works evolve as abstract-figurative cityscapes that continuously dissolve and reorganize throughout the painting process. Layer by layer, construction and intuitive intervention interact — structure and dynamism remain in a shifting balance.
Inspired by cities such as New York, Tokyo, Berlin, and Chicago, these paintings are not depictions of specific places, but condensed expressions of urban experience. The city becomes a metaphor for human orientation in times of change — a system shaped and reshaped through individual actions.
Created in acrylic on canvas, the works combine strong perspectival depth with vibrant, layered color fields. Urban Axis reflects a contemporary exploration of abstract cityscape painting, structure, and balance.
