Artist Statement<\/h2>\n

I paint cities – not as they are, but as they feel. Places that are allowed to change. Where fixed lines meet open spaces. Where order and liveliness live side by side.<\/p>\n

We are all looking for something in everyday life that holds us – and at the same time gives us room to breathe. But where do we feel safe without being constricted? And where can we be free without losing ourselves?<\/p>\n

My paintings reflect what I experience myself time and again: balance is not something that is simply there. It arises – slowly, tentatively, sometimes in silence. And yet it is precisely this balancing that brings life to life.<\/p>\n

My art invites you to explore this feeling. It combines clear forms with bright colours, depth with detail. This creates a space that is allowed to have an effect – not only on the eye, but also on the heart.<\/p>\n

My works open windows – inwards and outwards. For me, cities are more than just architecture. They are living works of art. They symbolise what we all carry within us: structure and longing, security and change, stories and possibilities. They whisper of the courage to make new beginnings, of the desire to think a little further ahead.<\/p>\n

The past, present and future overlap – just like in ourselves. I bring these layers onto the canvas. And invite you to discover your own inner landscape.<\/p>\n

If you experience yourself as the creator of your life, you can face change with more confidence. Change becomes an opportunity to reorganise – in art, in thinking, in everyday life. And sometimes a new connection emerges from this inner balance. Something that reaches far beyond ourselves – to other people, to more understanding, to more togetherness.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Biography<\/h2>\n

Nina Groth is a visual artist from Germany who exhibits nationally and internationally. Her work has been shown in Hamburg, Barcelona and New York City. She has received a regional audience award and honours at international art competitions.<\/p>\n

Born in G\u00f6ttingen, she grew up on the Baltic coast in L\u00fcbeck. Between the sea and the city, she realised early on the simultaneous presence of expanse and limitation – a formative motif in her artistic development. She subsequently lived in metropolises such as Frankfurt, Berlin, Adelaide (Australia) and Mumbai (India). The dynamics and contrasts, the interplay of order and movement in urban spaces became a constant source of inspiration.<\/p>\n

In 2002, Nina Groth began to record her impressions in photographs and urban sketches. From 2007, she created colourful, geometric jewellery designs made of resin – inspired by urban themes. Since 2015, her focus has been on painting urban and architectural images. Since then, she has consistently developed her artistic style, Modern Urban Geometrics<\/strong>, which is characterised by the dialogue between space, form and colour.<\/p>\n
